"During one of my many morning walks to Back Creek, watching the sunrise and the ever-changing landscape, it struck me that Back Creek would be the perfect name. Through some research, I also discovered that Millmerran was once called Back Creek for a short time in its history. As the picturesque entrance to our town, the name just felt right" Jan Fitzgerald.
